It's a drain for any fuel that may fall out of suspension and pool in the intake boot.

The way I do it.......there ain't gonna be a screen.

When I reassemble these saws tomorrow, I'll add a second outlet too them all.

I like to do that then so I can be 100% sure that I'm not hitting the covers or brake handles.

First time seeing it. That 880 muffler looks restricted as hell stock. Exhaust has to travel through a channel and out a small outlet.

They are the hardest for me too Deets. I think they matter more than any other port too.
