Well, let's see. I'm 5'9" and want the middle of the cut to be just above hip high. With different size logs you should make the legs adjustable. No nails please, wooden pegs for safety. A couple of neon orange straps to safely keep the log in place. I think that would be a great start.

Another weird question, any of you guys coming down make velocity stacks? I want to do away with the intake boot/filter on a saw I have that is a fit to keep sealed.

2 4x4 bolted in a x with safty chain low on legs works good.
Or we v notch some big rounds cut in half long ways to set flat on ground.
