Good choice, in my opinion for the BBQ (especially for a group).
Though I live in a state that is divided on the whole-hog versus butts or shoulders, after having cooked for groups for many years I can say that butts are a very good choice in this case

Jambalaya typically has chicken/turkey (I use turkey), pork, and sausage and this is how I do mine.
