Don't know if they're still being made but I found some used ones on ebay. Now that you say that I'm pretty sure I remember that, maybe it wason another forum though.
If I recall it was on a small table in the picture.
So someone is still making them.
That's right about the pic...I believe it was here on OPE though. Think I remember the guy saying 'vintage' Stihl fuel can. Don't know if Stihl makes them any longer or not. I'm sure someone out there is making a spin-off of it though.
I think it's a Blitz 'gas and tool' can..they're very cool...all metal..top gas can, bottom section is a tool box.
As for the 288..I just bought a 272 and a 346 but I'm digging in the sofa, that's a great saw and a phenomenal price!

Yep, seems to be for sale, looks like he wants to talk about the fuel can.Not sure if anyone is ahead of me, but if not, I'll take it. I'm sure I can justify having 5 288's.
Wow, that things been all the way across the country .I bought one from Steven/Bryanr awhile back, it's in awesome shape, >.
He got it from valley firewood if I remember right...
I also dunno if it was through this site or AS ??
