288xp fix it up or sell it?

This is one of the saws that I picked up on a killer deal... I'm contemplating whether or not I should split the cases and put new seals, bearings and gaskets or just sell it.
I tossed in new tillotson diaphragms... as well as a HD air filter and elbow and an AM top cover... sounds like it's a runner.

I have 2 in the garage... one is a buddies and this one is mine... I think I'm leaning towards splitting and replacing the bearings, seals, gaskets, etc... seems to have power. Maybe this weekend I'll dig into it...

Lots of torque, for sure. Mine likes the .404 I run on it.
Just too heavy for me to run for too long.

I wouldn’t even compare the the two. The 288 has way more torque than the MMWS 461 I have, using a 32” and 404 chain, vs a 28” 3/8, Not even close.

If you’re going to sell it as a runner, do seals and hoses at a minimum but new bearings on a saw that age makes good sense.
If it’s yours, run it. You can fix things as they present.
Easiest flip is just sell it as a project to the vultures that roost here.

Odd, usually people swap 288 pistons into 066's to get wider ports.
