Is it possible to make 28" chains work on both husky & stihl mount bars. I would like all my 28" chains to be interchangeable between both my 462 & 372. If I shorten a 93DL chain to 92DL will it work on both saws or am I f*cked?

context:
Stihl mount requires 91DL
Husky mount requires 93DL

I would imagine a 92DL would be quite tight on the Husky, but work out as it stretches, unfortunately it may stretch past what the Stihl can handle and become too loose. I wonder if its is possible to put another adjustment hole in the stihl bar a little bit behind the original and "lengthen" it slightly to handle a 93DL or same for husky, put it in front of the current adjustment hole and "shorten" the bar to handle the 91DL?

The bar ‘tail’ / mount pattern; the bar profile and nose radius; the location of the bar mounting studs; the number of teeth on the drive sprocket; etc., can all affect the number of drive links required.

But, using the same bar reduces some of these variables.

I had several 009 Husqvarna mount bars machined to fit Stihl and most took 1 link less then original Husqvarna took. My 28 inch went from 93 to 92 mounted on stihl.
Now if you did that for your Stihls , I expect after you run them a while they would stretch enough to fit the 93 link on the Husqvarna.
If you buy Stihl mount bars and use the adapter to Husqvarna maybe both would use 91 or if happens if u need 92 on a Husqvarna, the stretched Stihl chains could be used on them.
Also you can change sprockets to gain adjustments.
