so I was looking for a spiny plastic chain catcher that came off the 576 parts saw to put on my 262 and saw this spike that came on a 2054 and thought huh I wonder if I can use this on my 262 as there both small mount and it worked looks kinda odd being so short its just about the same length as the factory spike so I think ill leave it on IMG_20160724_162338_426.jpg IMG_20160724_162250_879.jpg IMG_20160724_162250_879.jpg

Sierradmax makes some pretty slick looking dual dawgs for the 262.
He does, but the ones I've seen are huge. I cut mostly fir and I still think they're too large for a 60cc saw. I made patterns for some and I dropped them off with a buddy to have them cut out, but he's been dragging his feet.

Why not just run the outter spike off a 261? Fits like a glove

Here's some I mocked up. The bonus is they are tall enough to keep the saw from tipping over. This is actually a 254xp, but should work the same.

I wanted to stick with the 2-series look, but don't care for the shape of the small 262 type spikes. Just personal preference, I guess. I wanted more of a 288 or 2100 shaped spike, or a hybrid of the two, maybe. 288xp...
