Pardon my ignorance, that is jb weld you were using correct? The fuel won't mess with it? Make it soft or anything

I guess I should add first, that saw is awesome.... makes me wish I could find the time to get my husky 350 put back together

I mixed come up, let it cure for a couple of days. put it in a jar of gas and let it soak. checked it daily then weekly. took about 3 mouths for it to get soft.
in a cylinder where it's not being soaked it will last years before it gets soft.

I found that grinding the part clean with a bur will give the beast bond. don't use brake clean on the part before applying epoxy. it destroys the bond.

That's why I was partly unsure about it, I knew that a constant flow of fuel over or around jb and it would soften up, but, with it not being in constant contact, it makes sense that it's fine. I just can't get over how neat this saw is, it took some expert care thats for sure, good work

Seems like that full circle crank was a big gain. I'm still trying to wrap my head around how those epoxied cranks stay together.
At 17000 rpm..... it makes me wonder if a heavier crank would hold more rpms in the cut, it obviously wouldn't Rev as fast though
