Thanks for the offer but I’m kinda hoarding all my 2100 stuff. My dad got one when I was around 8. First time I heard that exhaust note I feel in love. I have 5 (2 runners one of which is a real nice hotrod from the 80’s... the rest need thin rings or pistons) and a pile of parts to go with...
Good quality pistons are the hard thing to find out side of the thin rings... I do have one nice 2101 piston. The look just like a 395 but are the right dimensions for a 2100.
Yeah, I’ve got a few too. Thin rings are steel and the thinker ones are cast. I will get all the measurements of new thin rings for you today. The 2101 piston is actually the better of the thick ring styles. You can use 395 pistons by dropping the cylinder and tweaking the ports

That would be great. Thanks! I do have a 395 piston I plan on putting into one of my jugs. I built a pretty good running 272 that I ported out and did some lathe work on to practice before cutting into the 2100 jug. I’ll probably start with the worsts cylinder I have to be safe (I have more jugs than saws....). If any of you guys know of a good thread that some one has put together on the 395 piston in a 2100 I would love to check it out....

Last pick is as close to unsprung as I could feel. Between 1.93-2.00mm gap in bore, stacking feelers wasn’t working great.

I was checking out the wiseco pistons in the other thread. I’d love to get my hands on one...

Some Homelite 750 had 57mm .024 width ring, cheaper than $50.00. Gapping rings is fun ,,,, Ok I'm lying

Talk about thin rings , I remembered I have two sets of OEM McCulloch tool steel rings .I had never miced them before but they measure .024" which would be .6096 MM if I read my "convert " thing I down loaded correctly .Tool steel is not like cast iron because it doesn't break real easily .Think about the two wiper rings on an automotive style oil ring .
As for the McCulloch rings they came in a giant box of parts I bought for next to nothing and the shipping was more than I paid for the whole lot .They don't fit anything I own now which is not saying I won't in the future .
