Do all 2100 have the manual oiler is there any way I can tell the difference between 28? CD and 2100 this saw has power its atleast a 28whatever CD but it looks like what's left has 2 0s at the end its just faded so bad its not really readable

I believe all 2100 and 2101 huskies had the manual oilers. The 285 and the 298 huskies did not. Of course someone could have swapped the rear handle on your saw. Does the saw have an ID tag?

Yes, all 2100/2101 saws had the (additional) manual oiler button. The only saws in the series configured that way.

You could pull the muffler and check the bore. 52mm for the 285 and 56mm for the 298 (as well as the 2100 and 2101).

I meant power wise. Will this 285cd pull a 36" bar full comp with ease like a 288

I've got a nice 288 but I haven't had any time behind a 285cd so I can't say either. But damn, It's an old school 85cc husqvarna. Just run it.
I cant say, don't have many hours behind a 288 personally.

Yes a 288 and a 285 are very close in power to run a 36" bar. 285 has lower rpm and more torque than the 288 so would probably pull a 36" bar barried in hard wood better than 288
