Hello, i'm running a 20in 3/8 pitch setup on my 372XP , the information on bar says it's a 72DL but when i mount it on saw the chain adjustment is nearly on the way towards the front of saw? i believe a 70DL chain would fit better? anyone run a 70DL on a 20in 3/8 setup?

What bar do you have? There is no way 70dl should work if you have a D009 mount 20" bar on a 372.

All "true" 20" 3/8" bars I have take 72DL, thankfully as it really simplifies my spare chain stock.
Works for both k095 and D009 mount bars I have.

i've determined that my chain is stretched out!
I have the same issue with my Stihl RD3 carbide chain, it has so many hours on it it is maxing out saw chain tension capabilities!
A 8pin sprocket is a temporary fix in my case since it is an expensive chain with lots of life in it.

A regular steel chain stretched out that much is better stored in a recycling bin as the loops pitch changes as it stretches causing increased wear on sprockets and PH bearings.
Toss it!
