I think my Asian 660 Twin was #4 (first one with a white band on the handle bar side). It was not the fastest saw, but it was the "fastest for the $", and it surprised Mason a bit. I think it beat all the ported saws that were less than 90 cc.

Most OEM 660s won't do that!

That said, clearly the ported 660 and 395 were the fastest saws tested. Would like to have seen "el freako" in this test, that saw is fast!

Also, several saws near the end were encountering a bad knot near the bottom, you can see the cut speed slow dramatically. Of course, the 395 just powers right through that!

To be fair the 288 and hybrid 044 hit those knots real bad. 372 would have been a bit faster leaned out 1/8 turn probably.

I think once you start getting to the power level of el freako and 660/395, they are pretty crazy. Really have to be alert when your running em with a short bar.
