Randy @Mastermind would there be room in this endeavor for a non builder to buy a kit and try to get it together using the help from the know-how-ers build threads. I know I'm being non competitive but I can promise you I have no knowledge to share with these guys on saw building. I might find a little money tho to waste on an adventure that may only yield a pile of junk and some new knowledge

I assure you I'm entering in the first class. I have never ported a saw and will be doing all the work at my house by myself. I'm sure I'll talk to Randy a few times on numbers, as I have no clue about them, but other than that it's all me.

I'm almost tempted to just build the saw straight out of the box and run it, but what's the fun in that lol

Same boat here. Heck. I'll be lucky to get my case halves together facing the same direction. Especially since Dallas is my help...

It'll be wise to do this and make sure all the bugs are worked out before porting it. Illuminate some variables in troubleshooting that way. I know that's how I'm going to do it.

I'm pretty sure some entries will be that way. I think it would be cool if an unmachined jug, placed well in class 2!

I'm sure since there will be lots of build threads, that all the little issues with the kits will get covered well. So yeah.......I hope you guys grab a kit and have some fun with it too.

We can have a dead stock class as well at the GTG, but to keep this as simple as possible, lets worry about that at the GTG.
