Different classes, what a great idea, wondering why no one thought of this earlier?

I'm gonna grant you two stars and one happy face for your earlier idea my friend.

What about pie? I have never made one but stand a better chance of doing that than creating a saw from a box 'o parts...

Just grab Ernie on the way though.......make sure he has baked coon in sweet potatoes with him. If you can do that.....you are my hero.

IF we send an entry, and can't physically be there; will it get run? Or do you physically have to be at the event? AND for me, I won't have the band width to build another yet 660...have 6 built & running right now from an older series of parts. It might make sense to just pull one out of the work cycle for this as almost a "base line" for a standard build to show what a built was as delivered parts runs like....I have two that fits that profile & class one quit nicely. No real mods, just things to make it run day to day well in a work environment. A true "work" saw.

@Mastermind , if you have one more hair left on your head to pull on, what class do the FarmerTec big bore kits fit?
Oh, and thanks for the stars, I'll cherish them for a long time I'm sure. Lol
Has to be "class one", as the MMWS kits are and so are the Hyway kits..:) AND they can be had for $30 bucks! A third the price of the other options...:) LOL! (I have run them Back to Back with the heretofore mentioned options... They do Ok..:) )

So class 1 and 2 will be running 32" bars and the supplied chain.
I have a couple questions for class 3 saws,
Can we supply our own chains and are race chains ok?
What length bars are we limited to?
What will we be cutting? I'm assuming a 10x10 cant?

Yes......it will get run. We'll get someone we can trust to do a good job with it.

Bruce said he would supply the kits with Hyway, FarmerTec, and Cross. He didn't mention BB kits.

Class 3

Same rules as the first two classes with these exceptions.

You can use any aftermarket top end. Period. Fit one from a 090 if you can.

Two piece heads are legal.

External transfer ports are legal.

Use any carb you like. WB....HL.....whatever.

Use any coil/flywheel combination you like.

Methanol, Nitro, Oxidized fuels are legal.

Make your own chain.

Tuned pipes are legal

Air filters are optional.

Fuel filters are optional.

In other words....in this class anything goes as long as you use the kit parts for the bottom end, and an aftermarket top end of some kind.

What will we be cutting? I'm assuming a 10x10 cant?

32" bars. 3/8" x .050 gauge chain will be supplied for the first two classes.

The wood will be some sort of soft wood. We will use 6 10 x 10s and 3 8 x 10s to make a 28 x 30" cant.

Same size wood for all classes
