I inherited a 181. It is in rough shape. It needs a flywheel, carb and linkage, top cover, and a piston and cylinder. Is the saw worth restoring? Or price wise getting a new saw? What is the parts availability? OEM or AM? Or maybe parting out?

Missing that much, I would call it a parts saw. With the parts you know are missing, there’s probably 20–40% more cost in unseen parts that are missing.
