084 Race porting

Brewz just a word of warning. 10 is where I started tossing the chain from time to time on stock tail mounts. On 084's . Just so you know. Might want to cut and work over.

Im all ears mate.
What do you recommend I do to stop them coming off? I cant see it going any bigger as we race in hardwood here.
I will drop it back to a 9 to be safe while I test the saw.
And yeah.... chaps are a given and I have chain catchers on them too

Test and find out. If you start throwing. Like said, Cut bar mount and work over. Shown here by folks already.

These are extreme cases for bigger gears.

Don't leave any distance between the rim and tail and there won't be any chain throwing.
A higher rpm saw running a smaller sprocket will kick the crap out of a torque saw running big sprockets.

Ground the tail a fuzz to barely be able to fit the sprocket. But still can derail, I like a little less chain out of the groove

I took a 20” small mount bar i had laying around, hacked on it with a angle grinder and some dull drill bits for a while, turned it into a large husky mount bar for 60 dl with a big tail that i can use with a 10 pin, with an outboard clutch and so i dont have to pull the clutch or anything to mount it. Works great, works with a 9 nicely too. Now just need chains worth running on it lol.

This is more what I meant. Chopping it off and matching the radius as much as possible.

Split is easier with an outboard clutch

I have a new dual mount Sugi with a factory split in the tail. Must be some reason for the cut there. Vibes maybe.
