I'm trying to get the chain right for the short bar. The rakers are way too low and I need to take the teeth down far enough to get a good gap back. The race I want to enter runs two cuts on a 20" fir log so I've been focussing on the longer set up for the moment.
I have absolutely no experience with race cutting. This is literally the third or fourth time I've ever ran a three cut.

RM125 or CR?
Nice pipe.
Fatty pipes are designed for low end grunt.

I ended up finding some good springs to tension up the idle and jet screws. The intake stack is almost done. I couldn't find a piece of aluminium tube large enough so until I do I'll try it out with the available metal pipe in pics.

I added that kart motor carb to it and the improperly supported intake lost its bond with the bottom base piece just after getting a rough tune. I knew i should have used a different method but i figured I'd give the ol jb weld a chance.
Hell the rubber on the elastostart even broke on this go round.

I'm giving up on that stupid idea for the intake using the stock composite block. It doesn't like to bond very well to jb weld. It's time for a metal flange welded together with a short piece of pipe so i can use a rubber boot. The vibration is so intense that the high jet screw cannot be held to tune while wot.

Yeah the high screw is large enough to turn by hand and it feels exactly like trying to grab one of those oscillating blades while at full speed. There is no way you're holding a screwdriver up to it. Not even with a rubber sleeve to hold it on.
