There are 2 types of coil mounts for 064 cases.
You may or may not need to make a bracket.

I get all my OEM parts from Bill aka outbushman on ebay in Western Aust.
Cheaper than my local dealers (Tassie).
He has the 1300 coils.
But you can try a Chi one if you want.
But hit and miss.
Chris.

If he's got the 1303 ignition (which is what his looks like) then he can swap the universal ignition straight in with the right flywheel (or timing).

Neil -

I struck out on the 1303 coil - mine's dead. I did find a good 0000 400 1300 coil (what we call the "universal" ignition)
which I can send your way. Then you can try Chris's trick of re-timing your 1204 flywheel without having the key in.

Neil never checked back in, and he didn't answer my PM, so he must have worked something out.

Hi Jacob, Sorry for not getting back to you guys, but I put it in the to hard basket for a while.
I’ve managed to get a 1203 flywheel and just ordered the 1300 coil. Could I ask which key way to use when setting this up?
Cheers
Neil

I'm in the states Neil. Yeah, German or UK Ebay might have good parts. If this coil here tests out good, just pay shipping on it and it's yours.

I've got assorted small parts left over from 25 years of rebuilding 064/066s.
Jacob
I have a 1309 coil from a 046, and same one on my 2001 066
how were they for reliability?

If it has a keyway marked "X" or "B", that should be the one to work with the 1300 module Neil.

The keyway marked "P" is for the rev-limited coils.

Keith - The 1309s are the hottest running coils for the poly flywheel saws but they burn out more than the 1122 400 1314 coils.

If it has spark, then it should make a good running saw for you.
