044 clutch

So I tuned the 044 based on the steps in this video...

And the chain will stop spining if you use the brake then release it if saw is at idle. But if you rev the saw and let it go to idle, the chain will slow way down but never stop. I have gathered that means clutch is weak. Do I need new springs or a drum and springs?

Also, the idle seems to jump around quite a bit. from 2500-2750, is this normal or do I have a leak somewhere? This was using a dti 20k tach.

If the drum and clutch don't have wear grooves around them, and if the holes where the springs go aren't wallowed out, you just need springs. Replace all 3. Only a few $ each
