HELP! 024/034 Stihl values

What is everyone's opinion on the values of Stihl 024 and 034 saws. Somebody wants to trade me these. 024 runs great, 034 runs but not great. He's valuing them at $250 for the 024 and $200 for the 034.

I like them saws. Based on your numbers though, you probably won’t make much on resale. He’s asking pretty much retail, imo.

That 034 is a Super, which is essentially an 036. If the P/C are good it's easily worth the ask.

$250 is what an 026 sells for. It's a solid saw, but it's overpriced.

In my area, those area basically worthless if you want to sell them locally. That 034 looks whipped. Anyone who could use a 024, already has a ms180 that they think cuts like a 500. If they run u might eventually get 100 if you wait long enough.

Nice coleman b200 mini bike, only issue is return spring for throttle is missing, he wanted to include $50 with the saws

If you think a 024 compares to a 018/180 then......ok....

The other year I sold a running 024 for $40 . It was worth more than that, but it was to a long time customer and I had picked it up for almost nothing.

I think he was talking about the local folks that think they are all that and a bag of chips with their 180 and their attempt to cut down the forest with it. I had a guy that came into the store all dressed up like a lumberjack (all new clothes, no dirt yet), when he stated he needed a chainsaw and what he was going to use it for, I recommended starting with a MS 391 and higher, he latched onto a MS 171 and didn't let go. I figured it would not be long before I saw him back in the store for a bigger saw.
