Have strange question my friend brought me a 011 avt to fix it was strait gast so I've never worked on one of these before did a lot work on 200t's but not one of these and as I poled the cylinder off I noticed that the needle bearings for the big rod end all fell out so to me that's not normal or good is it designed this way or is it toste?

That's normal. The roller bearings are loose and when you re-install the connecting rod, you have to gather them up and hold them in place while you slip the connecting rod on.

Some guys use grease to hold the rollers in place. I've used a small zip tie and a rubber band before.

Grease plus a wide rubber band.

I made a ‘roller holder’ from a strip of sheet copper.

To load half the rollers in and then the rubber band for the rest.

Slide/wiggle the rod in place and run it down to BDC.

The crankcase prevents the rod from slipping sideways.

Block the crank so it won’t turn.

My favorite antique Stihl is the 012.

Well thank you very much for the info on how to get it back together very cool I'll give you a heads up on when I get it back together need to find out if he wants to go ahead on putting a new piston and rings in it. I did notice that on every piston ring set I found only had a single ring not two like the oem so what would you recommend?

I’d lean toward a two ring piston but availability will prove the deciding factor.

eBay seller lilredbrn ( Little Red Barn) carries the 012.

Take the rollers to a good bearing house like motion industries, General bearing, Bearing service, or GDI. They can measure them up and give the correct hardness and speed rated bearing for you. Hell my motion industries will sell me a needel caged bearing and ill cut it apart nyself if it has thre correct needles in it.
