Been looking for a replacement muffler as well for quite some time Wilhelm. They are not that easy to mod for sure with only simple tools. 440/460, 660, 372/390 all wouldnt fit. The circled part in the picture is the main reason. Quite narrow between the case halfs

Multiple hooskies, homelite and even a stihl. What can i say, i like them all. I favor the dolmars though

Have a china 372xp. Works pretty well actually. Will it be as tough as the original? Probably not, but they sure are fun to try and modify and work on. I can buy a china 372xp muffler for like €4 and try a bigger outlet or a dual outlet or an outlet on top with deflector...... If you want to...

It's a shame! Not the correct way to phase out a brand at all. I do wonder why china never jumped on the dolmars for aftermarket parts and/or complete saws

Holy sh!t Wilhelm, I just checked and the 9010 muffler is indeed listed at €300!!! Wtf, half a year ago or so it was €60.

Regarding dolmar/makita parts. I thought a company was obligated to make spare parts for 7 more years after discontinuing a model. The makita representative told me so. And if the part has a makita part number, we could just order at any makita (electric) dealer.
