Had a Moto4 230, or it was a 225. Had hi and low range transmission with a 5spd. Was a tank, started every time with no choke hot or cold, Yamaha yellow and black. Was slow as a snail.

I've had a Yamaha, artic cat, & Honda. Never had a breakdown with the Yamaha. It was a great day when the the artic left. And if I had to buy another one today it would be a Honda. Ran them every day untill we got a side-by-side.

If you want an atv to keep for the next 20+ years, get a honda. If you want top of the line horse power, accessories, comfort, etc, then get a can am. Can am products are awesome, but typicially come with a scary pricetag..

Yami and polaris have great options as well but wouldnt be my personal first choices. Not sure about the brand new polarises but i know for quite a while now they did away with things like grease zerks on suspension components which completely steered me away from their lineup.

from what i have owned and we see in the shop here, I would look at em in this order

1. Honda
2. Yamaha/Suzuki
3. Polaris unless your after a SxS then they would move to #1 spot for what i do and want out of one

way down the list Arctic Cat.

Honda may not be the king of the hill on paper specs or comfort but they have proven to dead nuts reliable even after years of abuse and neglect.

As said, for work Honda, it will idle all day without any problems. For play can am, they are fast and fun.

Honda for everyday workhorse for sure. Can am for play. I rode a 87 Honda for years and did nothing but beat the crap out of it and it still was going strong last time I seen it. I went to can am a few years back and I have been very pleased with it. My can am is my main mode of transport around the farm and gets used for play as well, it is a very sturdy built machine to say the least.

2003 Honda Rubicon, 10,000kms and one wheel bearing, deadly reliable, a tad small. Its the wifes now. Bit of a pig to start if its been sitting, ya goota prime it and the primer is a pain to get at.
2002 grizzly was pretty good, one wheel bearing, was beat to death when I got it,, sold it, its still going 10,000kms
Current is a 2009 grizzly 700 no problems 6000kms. I like the jap stuff.

I had two suzuki atvs. First was great till it got stollen. Replaced it with a brand new 03 vinson. Its been a real good atv with no isues.

With that being said i do think bombardier has a dam good atv but it also has a dam high price tag too.
