Which M tronic reset for my 261CM?

How do I know if my 261cm uses the idle only reset or the idle/piss rev reset?
Bought it used, no manual.

I have read where folks recommend putting the saw into some hard cuts after the reset. No mention of this on the stihl website. Good, bad or not needed?

That`s good to do after the reset. While doing these cuts, the control unit tunes the engine to the right performance (in conjunction with the fuel being used and the current outside conditions) If you are patient enough, you can hear how it tunes it and feel the difference in running conditions.
