IMG_0115.jpegMy saw will not idle correctly, pressure and vacuum tested, no leaks not even from the decomp when moved around. I’ve tried resetting the carburetor 5 times, I have reset this carburetor 2 times in the past before so I know how to reset mine. But now when I do the reset procedure, there’s no change at all. Making me believe it’s the carburetors fault, so I went to purchase a brand new carburetor(haven’t installed it yet) I wanted to make sure I purchased the correct carburetor, on my saw the carburetor is WJ134A(black solenoid) , new carburetor I purchased is WJ143A(green solenoid)??

Why not only replace the solenoid valve with a new green one? The black ones often leak and give idle problems. The new carburetor should work without problems.

It made more sense to get complete carb, because I get dealer cost.

Dealer cost on a solenoid kit can’t be more than $20
Yes but the chances of having maybe some different issues in the carb , I thought I was being smart on potentially saving the trouble of rebuilding a carb…

Yeah I guess a black solenoid 661 carb is getting old by now👍

Yeah I just hope it’s not the ignition module failing to communicate with the carb

Is usually the solenoid. After that it’s usually the coil.

Like you said tho, nothing wrong with starting with a brand new solenoid and a clean carburetor
