Got a stock 572xp. I like it good saw good price reliable so far and runs good for stock. If the 70cc class includes the up to 80cc stuff add a ported 7910 MMWS excellent value saw after porting they are :pesas:! I want to try a Stihl 500i my buddy has one but I haven't run it yet. It has to be the strongest of the class. You get what you pay for...... Like to see em add prefiltration to the 500i and lower the price a bit I can dream right:lol:

I have nothing else to compare it to, but this 7910 Tree Monkey ported motorsaege is a performer. The only downside thus far is the clutch cover clogging when noodling. I had looked at obtaining an ms500i last fall but no availability, high price, thirsty, and it seems everyone likes ‘em ported anyway, so I figure I have less invested in this ported than a stock 500i. 56162735-9ECA-4F24-A17B-AB1AFCFF242E.jpeg

85cc isnt in the 70cc saw class, its in the 80cc saw class

The ms500 is still less than 80cc's, so it fits in the 70cc class, by the skin of its teeth

how about this one….even closer. That 046 with a cannon Superbar plus 20” bar is actually heavier than my 064 with a cannon 24” super light bar. Both bars 063 3/8.

Beautiful saw, I want one set up like that just so I can stare at her and enjoy the view!

I recently got me a second Dolmar PS-7900 - I love this model line.
The whole 64xx/73xx/79xx line is spot on each with slightly different character and behaviour IMHO.
The 73xx & 79xx wake up noticeably with just a muffler mod, I can not imagine running a ported one.

My MMWS 372 XPW & Simmonized 372XP are my clear favorites. They balance perfectly with 28" lightweight bars and pull and oil a 36" bar very well.

Aa far as stock 70cc saws go, my favorites are my early 12mm slant fin 044 and early D chamber 046. They pull like mildly ported saws and the 044 sounds like it.

I've got 5 or 8 272s can't remember
I grab a zoo city 272 or stumpshot 266 or 268
Most every time I go cutting.
I've ran all but these latest generation computer saws with damn primer/purge bulbs they can keep them.
I'm doubting they'll last like my 20 to 35 year old 266/268/272s

My favorite 70cc saw is a ported 60cc saw.

The Dolly is King of the stockers with a 7 handle.

If you have a dozen saws and you don’t use them every day I don’t think it’ll be a problem for them to last 35 years!
The 2 266s and the 2 268s in that pic
Have never been rebuilt just carb kits seals and lines when I got them.
Hence forth they are 20+ year's old
I got them used and put ported cylinders on them.
I'm curious how long these computer saws
Will last
Since updates seem common with them.
And how long will will companies support them.
