I guess I don't have much patience! When I discovered the saw I ripped down yesterday had a Huztl piston in the Cross Cylinder (instead of a Cross Piston) I ordered a Meteor Piston for it. But I just can't wait for it, so today I ripped down my "Blue Beast" which had a OEM 066 Cylinder on a new Meteor Piston.

I re-ported the Cross Cylinder and glued it down over the Meteor Piston (the piston looked brand new, like it had never been run) (see the pic)!

When I get the new Meteor Piston I will install it, and the OEM 066 cylinder on my OEM 066 saw, and take the Cross P+C that is on that saw and install it on the Asian 660. Then I will have one all OEM (066) saw, except for the Meteor Piston, instead of everything mixed and matched.

I plan to re-port all the Cylinders, and hope they all run similar to the Flying Tiger I brought to the CT GTG. Then, I will probably keep a couple and move a couple along. I currently have 2 066s and 5 MS660 clones (including my Big Bore MS710). It is fun to play, but it is just too many.

I took some pics of the ported cylinder, but they did not come out. I hope to finish modding and matching the muffler and get this thing running tomorrow (unless the weather is crap). Wish me luck!

Before I played with my saw today I modified a plumbing pipe for under my double sink with JB Weld.

The problem is all the hook ups for the Dishwashers are on the down spout, but our new (last year) sinks are deeper than the old ones, and this results in a lack of pitch when you hook them up, and I don't want to rip the wall apart to re do the plumbing. I had everything hooked everything up, awkwardly, but every few months it leaks from one place or another.

So today I modified a new cross piece with a dishwasher fitting so I can mount everything at the proper height. I'm pretty sure this will work! Installation is tomorrow when our new Dishwasher arrives!

Made some cookies with the echo. Pretty strong saw so far. Should get better once we get a few tanks on it. Just got to sharpen the chain a little.more aggressive. Ash is quite hard. Dont think that saw will have any trouble pulling a good sharp chain. I like when you can just hold the back handle and it will pull itself through.

Yup and yup. I think it has strong spark. Its really intermittent. If you go 1/8 turn too much on the screws it doesnt want to start. Throttle it up fine and it runs good then coming down to idle sometimes shuts off, so much so that its a PIA. I'm going to try a new carb then I'll look at the ignition.

My Asian 660 "Blue Beast" is up an running again … better than ever! Has a re-ported Cross jug over a Meteor piston, squish was .020 w/o base gasket, and it feels real sporty!

I think I've finally got these 660s figured out thanks to the help from other members including M.D.Lee, Dr. Al, Randy and Scott.

Well the 346 is back together and seems trouble free so far. I have noticed getting a screw driver in to adjust it is a PAIN with the 191 carb on it. Squish @.017 as many older threads noted you could get away with on these.
Matched the intake to the boot. Widened exhaust didn’t change any timing.
Matched lowers to case.

Had a bit of trouble with burr running up the extension wall and it jumped out of the lower transfers but no bevels caught any cotton ball fibers. She’s tight as a whistle with no air leaks or vacuum leaks.
Thanks @Mattyo for the heads up on the Poulan bearing.
346 intake tract with hda191 carb on it. Tuned at 13,7000 right now and 4 stroking hard. Haven’t got compression off it yet not been able to put it in wood yet.

Ugly Betty 034 build. Closed port 034 jug with meteor piston and new seals and lines. It’s turning out ok so far. Sounds pretty mean when I fired it up last night. Lots of flex in the AV so probably have to swap those out fresh. Put an original 034 muffler can on it with MM.

Shifted it to the side for its bigger, uglier cousin the 064... be a while since I’ve been in one...

New Japanese bearings on both sides with new seals... and then halted by my own forgetfulness... regular 066/660 crank case gasket to big... [emoji2959]

Low use 359 that belongs to a friends Dad.
It's got an air leak. Got some info on updates from @Stump Shot and its getting new seals, intake tract and with a gasket delete it comes to .022" squish.

He lives in town and only uses it for campfire wood, so a muffler mod isnt happening.

Flywheel side seal might be too big too, if you ordered them all for a 660

Oh come on how do you know he doesn't need a MM?
