He did...

Only listing 088 and large husky in his eBay store. Nothing for 024-066.

I found this on eBay. But, I don’t think the carb studs are long enough to get the nut on.

Found this too. I think it would mount, but no choke.

Sweet. Your first link there is what I was going to try to copy for 026/ms260. Would also work on others.

My brother in law wants a setup for his 028, so im thinking about giving it a try sometime.

That 2nd link you posted looks like a nicely made vstack. Very attractive price!!

Used this one and the outerwear cover linked at the bottom of the page:
http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?prod=R-1100

I have put several tanks of fuel through the saw and its still spotless under the outerwear cover.
I believe you could run one of these filters 7 days a week and clean it once every month.
For me as a firewood hack it will be removed and cleaned once a year

Bought a chinese cover to chop up and made a bracket that bolts on between the V Stack and carb to allow me to bolt the cover on from the top.
Works perfect!

Before I do it would like to ask your permission to make the mounting bracket that you made for the filter cover I like it and think it a good idea I've been wanting to try a V stack on one of my big saw's and seeing how you cam up with that mounting plate really makes me want to do it?

Hot saw's 101 did a K&N on one it's on one of his YouTube videos if you get bored one night and you can find that video it might help you figure out a way to mount a different setup.

This is how he did it. But his design is probably different than this a little.

I contacted Uni to see about a semi custom filter that would fit my stack under the HD housing. I had to chop up a 4200ST to try and make it fit. I would have to cut another .250 for it to fit. The two stage Uni does not fit under the HD housing.

Yea looks about right it worked not sure on the why the filter cover works on those saws Stihl and Husqvarna in my neck of the woods but I've heard from some guy around here that they have ran a couple and loved them.
