Used gun values?

I’m finding conflicting info of some used guns I’d like to sell. First I know something is on worth what someone will pay. Prices change, demand, location, etc. but man I’ve looked and prices are all over the place. I’d love to do a local trade in but my local shop is closing and the other shops don’t have what I want. I have ammo too which I’m not sure a dealer would take?

Realistically its whatever you can get someone to pay for them.
Prices are currently inflated and ammo is scarce.
I recall buying Norinco SKS's for $75 when I was 20 packed in cosmoline. I sold one a few years back for $425.

And no dealer will take ammo. Private party might, dealer wont.

I’m waiting to hear back from a few friends/family. My brother says to throw them on gun broker but it seems like a pain.

I'm sure a few on here would pay a good price for some fine shootin' irons, although it would have to be 'unofficial' to the forum I would guess.

I've bought several guns off of armslist. All were FTF transactions.
You can list by state and city.
It's basically a local classified ads website for firearms and related stuff.

That's the way it used to be and wisely so.
Right now, a lot of smaller dealers would rather have ammo.
The guy who owns my LGS asks people if they have ammo to sell/trade.
He won't take reloads but if it's in factory boxes and looks straight, he'll take it.
He bugs me for ammo every time I go in.

Too bad I gave away soo many rounds over the last 3-4 years. I’m still finding more. It was so weird finding no ammunition in the middle of the shop. I’m not sure how many rounds I can get but when you buy a new gun you will get an opportunity to buy ammunition for it. Eventually the shortage will end. Kind of a bummer, I’ve been inviting a good friend who’s father just died. I told him we could burn some brush, and shoot some guns. I didn’t even know there was an ammo shortage. I haven’t bought shells and rounds for some of guns since the 2013 freak out. Wife said I had enough and I was being paranoid I’ll see how see feels after she fires of some 12g slugs
