How's this.....My friendly local Stihl dealer said, hey do you want a saw. It's not worth us fixing and the customer didn't want it. It does have low compression and with a lightly scored piston. Total cost $0

I just pulled the trigger on this. Seller says piston looks good. New bearings, seals, meteor piston or maybe just rings, and huztl for the external parts.

It’s really clean...already has the 66mm top end. Was used little when first purchased...then sat for about 15 years. The next owner, the guy I bought it from, used it on a chainsaw mill a few times, and decided that wasn’t for him. Sat for another 5 years or so. He didn’t give it away though. I think I got a fair deal, but had to sell some saws here locally to make it happen. Didn’t want to let this one pass.
