Well, with the old lower back becoming more of an issue and my consumption of pain pills escalating the wife "kinda insisted" :smiley_1140: on this deal from FB Marketplace, normally retails for between $460-600.
Nabbed it up new in the box fer $150 !!
Hopefully this will help me out till the back mends up.
If I can pull a couple yrs light duty service out of I'll be good.
Kinda anxious to see what a 9 ton electric splitter can do...:confundio1::icon_domokun:

My dad got a 6.5 ton electric splitter. I figured it was a big waste of $250. I was impressed to say the least. Oak split like a breeze. Just dont feed it any knots. It wont split it and Itll trip that breaker on the motor.

***UPDATE***
Me and the wife just fed this rascal about 20 assorted rounds of locust, hack-berry, pin oak, and sugar maple.
From 10 to 15 inch in diameter and it ran/split like a champ.
Even busted up some gnarly knotted stuff as well!
So far so good.
Main thing is my back is not balled up in a knot!
BTW...all done inside my garage!!!:campeon:

A number of guys like them. Especially after raising them up several inches on car ramps, cinder blocks, etc.

Philbert
You're right about that Philbert...being 6'4 and rather burly, I need that elevated platform ASAP!
Guess I'll head to one of the box stores and figure something out in the morning.
