So I bought my 064 about 2 years back, most of the PTO side was missing on purchase, and basically had an undiagnosed running problem - i.e. it would start, but you couldn't actually run or idle it etc.

I replaced all missing parts, cleaned and checked out everything, and figured it was a blown base causing a massive air leak hence the problem. The original jug and slug are clean, as are seals and the bearings.

Thing is, now I've got my 044/460 hybrid finished and running, I doubt I'll get much opportunity to actually run the 064, which is a shame, and seeing as I'm an office worker who collects saws, mainly to process our own firewood and prune the odd tree, I'm sure that I'm gonna be able to do almost anything that the 064 could do with the hybrid. (Plus the space and money freed by the 064 sale may assist the starting of a new 044 project...... :)).

So what do you fellas think? Should I sell? And what's a reasonable price to expect to sell it for? Here's a couple pics...

Other details, has good compression (160-165), starts, idles, runs, oils real well just as you'd want it to. So what is it worth?

So back on track. I would sell them both hop over to Deutschland and grab a brandy new 462.

Yeah, a 7910 is 14.7 lbs approximately, so if a 460 is a full pound heavier...

Sorry, I missed this. I stated my 'full wrap' 046 was 'nearly' a full pound heavier than a standard half handle 7900.

I think the 460 is 14.6 or 14.7, not 15.6.

I love my ported 460 for bucking, has a lot more torque than the 044, but the 044 is lighter and for me it makes a big difference if I'm doing some limbing and bucking.

Of course, we are all different. My next door neighbor is 6'6" and 350, and will limb with the 660, no problem! For me, I see the 044/440 and 046/460 as being very different.

Most of my work nowadays is storm clean up. Up until last year I was the forester on the Gurteen Estate in Waterford. I still sort of am, since I haven't been replaced(I get the occasional call and will always be close friends with the owner). With storm damage, you find yourself in all sorts of rather uncomfortable situations, so you want as light a saw as possible, but as much power as possible. So I went with a 10mm 044 with a simple muff mod. I haven't even messed with the timing. With a light weight bar, it gets the job done without destroying my shoulder or arms or back. For the truly large pieces, I ported a 281XP to get the job done. It's the gaps, really. If your saws fill in the gaps, you're good to go.

Here's a few pics I have of the estate:
