Nothing found in my searches so I decided to post up my new saw. I had a G660 many years ago and I’ve wanted to get my hands on a 466,
so this week I saw USA stock on the Farmertec site so I ordered one up. It’s Blue, I really wanted a gray & orange one but none available, and everytime I wait on something like that I miss out altogether! It arrived in under 3 days, FedEx from New Jersey, and I quickly checked it out, put the 3/4 wrap on it and the dog, bar & chain. Just as I was fueling it up, the thunderclouds burst forth…so I hope to fire it tomorrow.

I got burned out of my property in Oregon 2 1/2 years ago due to the wildfires, I picked up this saw specifically to leave up in Oregon when I’m again on the property. Probably just have a little storage shed put on the land so if it got broken into and stolen I wouldn’t be out a big money saw (ie: my Husky 572 or the MS361). Unfortunately I have nothing to cut living in the neighborhood here in Florida so maybe next time I’m up on the brother-in-laws property 50 miles away I’ll finally be able to test it in some wood.

So, mostly curious if any forum members have had experience with this saw?

I thought about getting one of these , but someone gave me a Ms460 & 046 projects that i put together.
I will say that a Husqvarna decomp and an OEM Elasto start handle is probably a go to for me with that displacement .

One of my customers has one. Loves it. I got to run it some too. Very strong running saw. It kicks the G372XP Pro clone's butt.

Good idea with the decomp I never use it on the 361 so if I can round up a blank plug for that saw I’ll swap it into the 466.
I plan on installing Stihl oem wrist pin, bearing, & clips.

I did get to run it in some wood today, the brother-in-law had some firewood that wasn’t split so I cut it lengthwise in quarters for him.
I’m quite happy with how the saw ran, I didn’t do any full throttle yet except for an occasional stab at it, easily powered through hard wood at up to 3/4 throttle with a chain that was sharpened by my logger neighbor in Oregon when I was running the 361 in Doug Fir there, so the cutters are quite aggressive.
