I just got one of these pistons for mt 2100cd, I have a NOS cylinder òn the way but it seems to be held up somewhere in shipping.

What should the piston to bore clearance be? And also the ring end gap?

Piston to cyl clearance .002 - .004” with feeler gauges

End gap .010”+

One simple way to tell if the fit is good is the drop test. Where you hold the cylinder upside down with your finger over the spark plug hole, then take the piston and place in the top of the bore in its correct orientation and let it go. It should float down slowly until reaching the top and stopping. If it stops part way and sticks or drops like a stone, it has issue.
