I don't understand how the Ex went from 109 to 100 w/o a gasket. Also, I would measure squish w/o gasket, the calc (for me) is almost never correct.

Ex with gasket #1 has to be wrong...

I had already installed #2 and measured timing and squish when I realized I hadn't measured squish on #1 w/o gskt.. so I measured gasket.... Just a baseline to compare the two mmws jugs I got.... Seems there has been some differences in #s....

Finally got a minute to get back to this... Figured I give the cross circlips a go....

A "decent" circlip can't be that much more to produce than one of this caliper... could it??

Cross cylinder differences.... One looks really good..... The other is a little on the sloppy side.... For being the "same" cylinder they look quite "different"....
Hard to tell from the pics but color of cyls is different and one casting is very clean and smooth the other has debris and slag throughout the ports...

The lower on the "top" cylinder has a tiny bit of grinding on it but still shows the slop and roughness in the ports...

Opened up the fuel tank and found this....
Clean spots are where I smudged it with my finger...
Anybody else find something similar??
