A good way to find a Contra Super top end is to watch ebay and Craigslist for Contra carcasses and note the position of the spark plug (if you can see it). I bought a Contra carcass off Craigslist for $75 it turned out to be the Super with a mint top end. I also bought one off ebay with a trashed piston but the jug is good. The downside is that they're almost always missing the shroud and top cover so I had to pay quite a bit to get two shrouds and top covers from Germany as there aren't many of those parts in the US.

I haven't had any luck scoring 66 mm jugs like that in Europe. Had to trade a kidney for the NOS jug and piston that I got last year, but at least I still have another kidney.

For those who aren't familiar with the difference between the Contra (106cc) and Contra S (137cc) jug here's a pic. The Contra S is on the right.

What's more difficult to find, in my opinion, is the S cylinder shroud. They are different than the 106cc Contra. I'm trying to get some of these reproduced as we speak.

I know nothing about Contras and 090’s and such and I’m curious. What’s this machined hole thing?

Impulse?

Here is cylinder #2. This is the one I had a heck of a time getting the piston out. The majority of the plating is gone in the top of this one. Wondering if I should try to salvage this one as well, or use it as a paperweight...

Let them both replate. Those are original top ends, not many good ones to find these day's.
You all have US chrome, here in Europe there is not one that can replate chainsaw cylinders. :(

Both of these saws have the split bearing bottom ends...killed one of the rods as I was trying to piston out of the locked up cylinder. I do have a couple spare split crankshafts on hand though.

You can find NOS crank bearings on eBay; these may still be available from Stihl, too. I've picked up gasket kits, too, including crank seals.

How goes the build Frank? Did you send your cylinders out for replating?
