Cutting down trees today. Many of them saplings. Ran them through the chuck and duck chipper except for the firewood sized stuff. Salvaged some oak, hickory and cherry. I put a 10" circular saw blade on one of my trimmers and that thing is awesome for buzzing off saplings. Was taking stuff down to about 5" diameter. There's a lot of briars and brambles mixed into it so that makes it fun trying to get it into the chipper but keeping me out.

Nice. Did you replace drop ceiling with hard ceiling? And install recessed lights?

Yes, Wife wanted it all opened up. Also needed more lighting so we added the new center light, Pot Lights, and under cabinet LED strips, all dimmable....
The center light also has a fan to help get the heat out of the kitchen, just like a bathroom fan.

Bailey's emailed me today to say that the OEM 660 cylinder kit is on backorder (I figured it would be) until Dec 3rd at the earliest. Meteor kits (from Bailey's) are on backorder til the end of this month. but MMWS Cross kits are available from HL Supply. I hate being impatient lol

curiousity got the best of me so I ordered Meteor & CP MMWS 660 kits from HL Supply.

also ordered some goodies from Traverse Creek, which I probably could've took a small road trip to pickup being it's like 4.5 hr drive from my place.

661 with a 36” and my buddies MMWS661 with a 28”

oh and we counted approximately 231 rings in that tree, so possibly 231+ years old. That big girl had seen a lot. Only reason we took her is she was starting to die and become a hazard. Amazing tree, they have at at least 6 more the same size slowly fading away. Shame

Oh and the fleet in the back of the truck, his MMWS 661/461 and my ugly 661 and pristine 462 riding in the toolbox, wishing they were as cool as the MMWS’s.
I laughed (somewhat cringed) and said if we get in an accident no way is USAA gonna believe we had over $4K in saws in the back. 1CD5FA7B-B574-47D7-AA11-C11E7C2EA0DB.jpeg56C89DE6-09FD-41F7-9BD8-BD941C557591.jpeg

Well at least your dad runs a good saw!:aaaaa:

71 years old, had a stroke back in 2014 and still tries to keep active. he's pretty much always had Husqys, I have the same saw (450) bought it in 2009, he bought his back in 2013 after retiring his 51 that he had forever. Just wish he was more maintenance oriented & took care of his stuff better.

I remember the day I bought my 650, his exact words were "why the F did you buy a saw that big?!" then we cut wood that weekend & all he could say was Holy S!

I get my stubbornness from him & we still bump heads occasionally, not as much as we did when he drank tho.. went nose to nose quite a few times with him back in those days.

Dropped a fairly good size maple last week at the neighbor’s farm from between the barn and the riding arena fence. Went back today to noodle the bigger trunk pieces. Have to love yard/farm/barn trees. After 1 hour I headed back home, not done yet, with 3 trashed chains. A rock, a piece of rebar and I’m assuming an old gate hinge.:( All were well buried in the tree, no visible warning signs. I still should have expected this.

Entertained by the tree guys trimming the power line right of way at the end of my road. They tried several times to drive the bucket truck up the embankment from the swamp but got hung up on the transfer case each time. They finally got it up the hill with a big skid steer.
