We have to do a big demo job at our regional office on Monday so I picked up a Ryobi 40v saw today. Has anyone used one of these? It's still in the box in the back of the truck as I type this. I felt weird buying a battery saw!
The typical sawzall wasn't cutting it, literally. We are removing a 60x120 stage that was built to hold a tractor trailer. All of the ply wood is glued and screwed with 3/4 T&G hardwood on top. I plan on using the saw to cut the joists so we can haul them out.
We tried a gas saw yesterday and the smoke alarms went off pretty quickly and the FD didn't think it was too funny but they did evac the smoke/fumes for us while they were there.
Next step is a Cat 300.9 Micro excavator with a grapple and the external power pack! It will suck the tracks in and fit through a 32" door! The power unit sits outside and runs off of long hoses to the unit. My local Cat dealer has two they rent for demo inside buildings.
