Not nearly as fun as watching a dog hump a unicorn, a water pump on a 2.0 Volkswagen! Of course instead of it being driven off the accessory belt it is drivin off the balance shaft via a mini timing belt.

No garage???? I could not do that.
Me either! This is a vacation home, and believe it or not but that footprint is the largest we can build, and the overall height is within one inch of the maximum height! The rules here are crazy! This foundation is nuts, below the concrete there are 29 heliptical anchors that are 7” diameter(1/2” wall) with 18” threads welded on, and 55’ long, they are screwed into the ground and they need to reach a minimum torque! And the foundation is 120 yards of concrete! The temporary wall that was needed just to form up the walls....was 85k!!!!!

I dont even think we have spent a quarter of that on vacations in the 13 years we have been together!

It’s ridiculous money, but it’s a challenging location, when you take into account the rules and regulations! Several of the other houses on the street are have major foundation issues, there is a 750k house the the engineer call a tear down, because it would be cheaper to start over than to fix the issues!!!!

We used to have the VW franchise years ago, through the 90's, early 2000. Glad we got rid of it!
