Took some scrap metal to the scrap guy and found that in there. Runs on a squirt. Lines hard as a rock. Little tlc and be a runner.
I have another just like it that runs great but i cant find the check valve plug thing for the oiler system.

Random, but at around what point, or which saws did Poulan go from more desirable to less desirable?

I have my dad's poulan 3500 he bought new in 1993. That series was the last of the "real" chainsaws. Mag case, a/v, 3.7 cubes. It is still a modern saw today.

Went to the local access this evening. Dialed in and practiced the new reel. Of course, Child and Ren came with to throw stuff in the river.

Nice reel! I am an abu man too! I like the 6501 from around 2000( silver and black) lefty reels, and put the blue 6601 or 6501c4 6.4-1 high speed gears. I use Shimano grease and carbon fiber drags. If your drag gets a little jerky put light coat of Shimano drag grease and it will be super smooth and hold more. A power handle is nice too
