I was wondering if the Poulan 5200 ignition coil has an rpm limiter. It is a two piece electronic capacitor discharge system.

Is it a Phelon 2 piece set up like a p41? The p41 set up is not limited.

I do believe I remember seeing the Phelon logo on it.
I was watching a video of it from the gtg and it sounds like it's bouncing off a rev limiter. I guess I'm glad that isn't what was causing that sound.

What carb is on it?

It's running a tilly HR. That carb is a bit much for it, but it's the only one I have that fits the reed block I'm using.

Are you running stock reed valves Jim? Just asking as they don't behave well past a certain RPM point.

Pretty slick setup!

I had to have a look and on all but three of the HR carbs listed on the Tillotson site have an "Economiser check ball", #20 on the IPL.

What the heck does that do?
That's the stopper in the main nozzle check valve. Is a floating ball instead of a flat piece of material.
