I never understood what the other plate was for. Thanks for solvin that life long mystery for me, your my hero

:ole:

Its nice to be recognized for something other than a really bad rapper for a change.

I just figured it out last week...it perplexed me at times what that other plate was for as well.

I'm gunna try the HD2 with no cover, I doubt it will plug up like it does with the cover on. I think it's been tried, might even be in this thread.

But with the cover on, they suck

I'm not sure the added complexity of using a 441 style filtration system was worth Stihls time.

Everyone complains about weight and cost, adding more parts doesn't help either.

Tapping out an airfilter takes a minute and then you're back in action.

Most don't service the airfilter often enough. Stihl can do better,if husky can certainly stihl can.

A 661 isn't light to begin with, I'd take a few extra ounces for a air injection system like a 441. It's one extra peice of plastic.

Everyone hates a 441 cause there hard to work on but a 661 is no different.

I'm beginning to like a 441 now,I use to hate them. Great filter setup

There's no doubt the filter system on the 441 works great, but why Stihl couldn't simplify it like Husky did is beyond me.

Me thinks the 441 was a test mule for a lot of upcoming technology and ideas. Part of me thinks Stihl didn't think it was worth it in the end, and that's why we don't see that tech on more of their new saws.

Have they the brought the 441 back out yet. My Stihl dealer said they were having a bunch of problems with them and weren't building them temporarily

From what's I've heard, it's back in the pipeline again.

I use to hate them but the more of them I do the more I like them. Great running saw once ported
