Need some help on a 394

Was going to start a build thread on a Husky 394 but got bearing in and installed only to find bearing on pto side loose on the crank . so I'm asking a few questions one what's everyone's views on a non oem crank ? I'm leery on non oem . If there is issues does anyone have a oem crank in good shape they would sell?

First I would have to rule out letting a machinist knurl the crank you have and put some loctite on when installing the new bearing, before buying another.

Thought of that but didn't want to chance the integrity of the saw I don't want to worry about anything on a ported saw!!

I have a brand new oem 288 crank that i dont want an arm and a leg for. i believe its the same as a 394, pm if interested

Got a 395 crank in a set of cases. I do have the ywheel. The key was sheared in it when I got it. Crank looks almost new.

you would also need to use your cylinder so all the parts marry up

Flywheels are different. Cylinder is the same.

Correct. The crank and flywheel don't care what top end is on it.

I only had good 395 cranks. That's why I said he needed the flywheel.

I have a bunch of good used 394 cranks and flywheels to go with them. You can have what you need for the cost of shipping. I've pulled apart a dozen smashed saws in the last two years.

You guys should have seen what I gave to the scrap metal guy last year- I had 70 pounds just in blown cranks and over 50 pounds in broken case halves that he hauled away.

Well thanks guys got a crank coming mdavlee hooked me up with a crankshaft should have a build thread coming soon once I can get the lower end put together and get some numbers of it before and after
