Wanting to hear what little saws are the better models.
I have an Echo and Stihl dealers I'm considering.
Prefer metal crank case.
No top handle as a beginner will be learning on this one.
Which models are the better ones?
I have a crap ton of white pine brush to deal with.

I will put in a plug for the Stihl MS261. In stock form, it is a great saw. Obviously, ported is moar better :)

How little is little? The Echo CS-352 is a great small brush saw. It's not metal crankcase but it's cheap and super easy to start.

For regularly cutting over 4-6" I use something larger but it's good for little stuff.

I have several 50-60 cc so smaller than those.
Are any of the little Echos metal cc.

I guess I'm considering Echo because the dealer is gaining my trust.

Thanks guys

What kind of budget are you working with?

I wouldn't get to hung up on being metal cased for your needs. It definitely opens a larger pool to fish from if you are willing to go either way.

I personally wouldn't use a rear handle version of a top handle saw because it might be more likely to be used for cutting firewood if used on the ground and my experience is top handle engines get hot easily.

I'd get a 352 or ms180c

I have a 352. It's a great little lightweight saw. Starts easy, runs and cuts good. It does have that cheap plasticy feel to it though.

You have to wonder how or why E-bay would ever allow an ad like this to be published. I've seen $35 parts listed for $3500. Seems like the site editors need their heads examined.

Dave does that when parts go out of stock. There is a reason, maybe it had to do with listing fees?
