I think my hybrid and 461 are fairly close. Hybrid is probly ahead by a little bit.
I ran the hybrid against a ported 462 with the same chain in a 24” cant.
462 has a ways to go before I’d consider using it over either of the two saws I have
I was thinking about how my Hybrid is going to hang with my 461.

I'm in no rush for a 462 or 500i, just having fun with my hybrid I recently OEM rebuilt.
'92 066 Mag RL with 064 flywheel with covers and a Husky 162 top handle.
She weighs the same as a 461 and with her port #'s she don't need any mods besides saving a half pound by replacing the Mag dual port muffler with a gutted standard one.:D

Power wise ?

The 462 definately spools up faster, I'd like to see them buried with a 28" bar before I'd say which one is more powerful.

I haven’t ran a 462 yet. Stock for stock they definitely look better. Ported, I wonder if there are more gains to be had from the 441?

If it lasts as long as my 044 (and I believe it will), it will be worth every penny!

As my Dad used to say "Quality will be remembered long after the price paid is forgotten". I honestly don't remember what I paid for the 044, but I do remember it seemed like a lot at the time. The 462 is a game changer.
As my Dad used to say "Quality will be remembered long after the price paid is forgotten".one of the best things a father could say .

Just put a 28" oregon reduced weight on this 462..feels 10x better than a solid bar..not as mushy either.

Ill run it this week and see how it feels.
28" reduced weight is what many loggers round here use. Including myself for a LONG time. Not even just for timber size, but to reduce bending over so much.

Let me know how you feel about it, honestly after using it a bit. I value your input...
