Who here would use it in high volume? I am thinking of sending one for review.

Philbert, Mark, pros: its less expensive 60-70 shipped, less moving parts. Cons: its shorter so there is 2 cutters up not 4, it won't grip as tightly for EXTREMELY heavy handed filing.
I'm looking forward to using the one we discussed.

I'd give the small one a go, but I need more holding strength, I guess that I can get pretty aggressive with the files.

Yes. Want to try it? I'll be in Flemington from 0700 to 1100 tomorrow if you want to pick it up.

OK. I have the one in picture one from this thread. If you want to try it at any time, just let me know.

Just purchased one, and Mike makes a great product. Used it today for the first time and wish I had found one of these years ago.

On the new smaller version, you have the springs set and pull or push down on that rod to advance the chain???

I really liked my gen 4, as it was called. Seems to have disappeared, lately, someone else seems to like it too, apparently.

No version without the rounded end exists anymore?? Loaned that one I had out too and can't get it back either.

Hey ! Let me know if you get another one - I may want to borrow it!

(Hope you get them back - nice vises, and a sad investment to lose)

I received my chain vice yesterday, works great and cannot say enough good stuff about the quality. I new right away I wanted a way to position the vice at all sorts of angles and found the perfect vice(for my vice at harbor freight for 22 bucks. Lets me adjust to any angle I want to get after the chain. Thanks again MikeIMG_20170110_164625208.jpg IMG_20170110_164645321.jpg IMG_20170110_164630279.jpg IMG_20170110_164701789.jpg IMG_20170110_164707462.jpg

What is the bracket bolted to the bench just to the right of the bench vise?
