2.3hp
advertised 9.3lbs

actual dry weight with no B&C on my scale=9.4lbs

not sure what list or MAP pricing is. To keep from getting myself in trouble i will say $290 +/-
So very similar to my DCS401 specs , 39cc, 2.3hp and 8lbs 13oz but I imagine this saw is much smoother and appealing overall. 3/8 @.050?
Are these available now? 401 needs replacing/given to son...

Don't like the China made thing but this sure looks like quite a bit of technology went into designing this saw. It competes directly with the Echo CS400 that comes to mind. Love to run them against each other. One would think that this is German design throughout. Good thread Nate.

Wow seems like a pretty impressive little saw...a lot of technology for a saw that size...if I could only get past quick chain adjusters. How do you think it compares to a 421/4300?

The design of this saw has been done for atleast 3 years.

It surprised me for a bone stock 35cc saw. Its not the power of a 421/4300 but it's not that far off especially for its weight.

They do build this saw with encapsulated bar nuts but it's not being imported here. @ajschainsaws got some of those this week.

The next new saw model should be here late summer/early fall.

With those cowls on the second set of reeds, is air flowing from the strato into the case, or is something else happening?
I assume the ports in the top of the pics of the case and strato block are strato ports through the piston, maybe? I would worry about the bottom end being starved of oil if so. I'm trying to figure out if the reeds are somehow using case pressure/vacuum to get more strato charge into the transfers or if they are strato charging the whole case.
