It’s coming up on replacement time for my main saw. I’ve been using a ported 365 special. It wears a full wrap handlebar and a 24” bar with a full chisel setup. I’m looking to replace it with a new saw. Whatever it is will wear a 20 or 24” bar 98% of the time. I’m looking for the same weight as the 365 or lighter. For reference my 365 weighs 19.5 lbs full of fuel and oil with a 24” Husky bar and chain. Easy starting and reliability are my main priorities. So for those of you who own one, is it worth the entry price? Any quirks or issues that I should know before I run out and spend $1200 on one?
Main uses will be felling and limbing doing residential tree work part time. It will also see use as a firewood saw for 6-8 cords a year.
