Sorry, I don't know why the last few duplicated themselves.

This was a pretty bad job... tree was leaning hard to the right and back which is of course 2 sheds and a house trailer was. The tree was grew up right by a fence. the stump is chest high to get above the fence. Had a small tractor hooked to the tree pulling it the way we wanted it to go. Didn't have to cut much on the back and she broke just like it was supposed to.. 20181005_170701.jpg only left a small amount of holding wood.. you can also see where it started to bust.

what you are looking at is not enough power the saw is just a 261 with a 24" bar
and because it took so long to do the back cut she beat me to it .

this was when I didn't have my 460 , the tree went where I wanted it to go but not
how I wanted to go , this was a rare very strait grained stringy bark tree and when
you come across them if you do the back cut quick enough it works out fine .

I actually didn't think it would go the way it did because the lean wasn't all that great
I looked up so see if she was on her way and seen it start to go and when I looked down
she was well on here way and so was I :yikes:

if it looks like it's going to be a problem I usually do one of these

Better watch stepping your back cut up that much higher than the bottom of the face. Closer to level or thickness of the bar above will let the tree and on the stump longer.

I thought sloping back cuts were a "NO NO"?
