leaving saws outside

How do you store your saw

  • I leave them outside every day

  • I keep them inside after use

  • I cringe of the thought of it being outside

  • I psp my saw and keep it in a glass case

  • Leave it in the truck and throw whatever on top of it

  • It rides in the front seat

  • Saws scare me

  • Nathon is my hero too

I have left them in truck bed overnight, but they are usually stored inside.

Sent from my non internal combustion device.

Put them inside after they cool down. This does lead to forgetting and them spending the night outdoors occasionally. That leaving them in the truck cab ended after one was stolen.

Mine get used then cleaned up, chains sharpened and put back on a shelf in the shop ready and waiting for the next outing.

My saws almost never stay in the back of my truck and if they do my truck is parked in my yard. I also have a cap on my truck with tinted windows

Humidity seeps all the way down to the bearings each time the temperature changes in an open air shop or outside. The other day I was looking at a saw that was in the back of a buddies truck after a little light rain and after it dried off there was still condensation airing out from the exhaust outlet. It was like the saw was exhaling fog.

You should buy a spare set of covers for use when you know the saw will get direct sunlight for more than 30 minutes.

My saws are stored under lock and key with 2 guard dogs on active duty....

When the saws are in the back of my truck, I'm always close by with one eye looking at the bed....

If I'm gonna be away from my truck, the saws are inside the cab, doors are locked, windows are tinted.....

My truck is my pride and joy. It is always locked.

Chainsaws are my weapons if anything happens to my truck....

I have a newly restored Partner R-16 in my lounge room...is that bad? I think its like a fine Piccasso. But all my work saws are in tool shed on shelves. They get the air compressor first, bars too and hung up, chains ground and put in zip locks. Missus thinks I'm crazy but her wardrobe is crazy....at least my saws pay for themselves and get used. Her 'must have' shoes and clothes just sit there.

Most time I let a spare stay in the forrest, and two in tractor.
Nowadays I want to build a couple cheap saws I can let stay left...
Those saws I like I always let stay indoor or in the tractor :)
